What is Password Generator?

Password Generator is a free browser-based tool that creates strong, random passwords in a single click. It lets you set the exact length and choose which character types — uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols — are included, then produces a unique result every time using your browser's built-in cryptographically secure random number generator. Because everything runs locally, your passwords are never sent to a server or stored anywhere.

How to use Password Generator

  1. Drag the Length slider to set how many characters your password should have, from 8 up to 64.
  2. Tick or untick the four checkboxes — Uppercase (A-Z), Lowercase (a-z), Numbers (0-9), and Symbols (!@#$%) — to decide which character types are used.
  3. Click the Generate button to create a fresh password; the output box also refreshes automatically whenever you change a setting.
  4. Check the colored strength bar beneath the output to see how secure the current result is.
  5. Click Copy to place the password on your clipboard, ready to paste.

FAQ

Is my password sent over the internet?

No. Passwords are generated entirely in your browser using the Web Crypto API, and nothing is uploaded or saved by this tool.

How strong are the passwords it creates?

Strength depends on length and character variety. A 20-character password that uses all four character sets is effectively impossible to crack with today's hardware.

Why is the strength bar not full?

The bar rewards both length and diversity. It only reaches full when the password is at least 20 characters and includes uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols.
